The Argenteuil-Bezons economic centre concentrates over 90% of the R & D actors of the region for business aviation, over 60% for the propulsion and equipment business and more than 50% for space transportation.
The high concentration of mechanical, computing and electronic skills has encouraged companies to build alliances. Those alliances are already reflected in competitiveness clusters such as Move'o, ASTech and System@tic, in particular with relation to car and public transportation activities. The Argenteuil-Bezons area is now fully involved in the mechatronics field with the creation of a business incubator, a training centre and various initiatives to promote a strong specialization of its industrial base.
Besides the important public transportation network, local services including kindergartens, day-care and recreation centres and municipal health centres, facilitate the daily lives of the inhabitants.
The Victor-Dupouy Hospital, currently under reconstruction, guarantees access to an efficient public health service for the greatest number.
Academic achievement is one of the top public policies in the area, from kindergarten to higher education, with institutions such as the Institut Universitaire de Technologie of the Cergy-Pontoise University and, as of the second half of 2011, a new centre of University Paris XIII.
5 upgraded business parks
With an area of 118, 6 ha, the Val-d'Argent Business Park is the largest of the urban community. It is directly accessible from the Val-d'Argenteuil station and a shuttle bus connects the station to the city centre of Argenteuil. Sitour and Kubota companies are located there.
The train station Business Park, is very close to the city centre and spans on 14ha. As its name suggests, this business park is adjacent to the station and is, thus, just 10 minutes from the Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris. It has historically been hosting various industries (chemicals, perfumery, manufacture of measuring devices), including, today, Givaudan and Otis. The creation of a 90 000 m2 service industry centre, which would take advantage of its unique location, is currently under study.
The 45.4 hectares Berges de Seine I Business Park can be accessed via the A15 and A86. The park specializes in aeronautics, with important institutions such as Dassault Aviation.
The Berges de Seine 2 Business Park is accessible via the A15 and A86. The future T2 trolley line, commissioned for 2012, will be close to this 22ha business park. It is home to, to name a few, Protec industries and EMC2.
The Berges de Seine 3 Business Park is accessible via the RER A through the Houilles-Carrières station, as well as through the A86. On its 58 hectares, are located, among others, Ales Group, Le Joint Français, Riber ...
Finally, another 70 000 m2 of office space, located around the Bezons T2 station, complete this business-friendly environment.
